Real-Time Vehicle Tracking
Real-Time Vehicle Tracking for Tour Operations
Real-time vehicle tracking so you know where every vehicle is, right now. Tour Management Made Right shows live GPS positions, route progress against the planned itinerary, ETA updates for each stop, and geofence alerts when vehicles arrive or depart.
Live GPS Position
Every active tour vehicle shows up on the dispatch map with its current location. See all vehicles at once or zoom into a single tour. Position updates come from the driver’s mobile app, so there is no extra hardware to install.
Tap any vehicle to see the assigned driver, current tour, and next scheduled stop.

Route Progress Visualization
See how far along each vehicle is on its planned route. The map shows completed stops, the current leg, and remaining stops color-coded by status. If a tour is running behind, you see it before the driver calls in.
Dispatch can identify delays early and adjust downstream reservations before they become problems.

ETA Updates
Tour Management Made Right calculates updated ETAs for each upcoming stop based on the vehicle’s current position and real conditions. If traffic on Highway 29 adds 20 minutes, every downstream ETA adjusts so your tasting room contacts have the right arrival time.
You can share live ETAs with winery hosts so they know exactly when to expect the group.
Geofence Alerts
Set geofences around wineries, hotels, pickup points, or any location. When a vehicle enters or exits the zone, dispatch gets an automatic notification. Use it to confirm arrivals, trigger guest notifications, or log stop times for reporting.
Full Dispatch Visibility in 3 Steps
Driver Starts the Tour
The driver opens the mobile app and begins the assigned route. GPS tracking activates automatically.
Dispatch Monitors Live
All active vehicles appear on the dispatch map with position, route progress, and ETAs updating in real time.
Alerts and Adjustments
Geofence alerts fire on arrival/departure. If a tour runs behind, dispatch updates downstream stops with one click.
Real-Time Vehicle Tracking Across Wine Country
When you have four vans running tours across Napa and Sonoma simultaneously, you need to know where each one is without calling every driver. Tour Management Made Right shows all your vehicles on one map so you can send ETA updates to winery hosts, reroute around traffic on the Silverado Trail, and confirm pickups happened on time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to install hardware in the vehicle?
No. Tracking uses the driver’s phone GPS via the Tour Management Made Right mobile app. No OBD devices, no hardwired trackers.
How often does the position update?
Position updates every 30 seconds while on an active tour. Frequent enough for dispatch decisions without draining the driver’s battery.
Can I share ETA updates with winery hosts?
Yes. Send a live ETA link to any contact. They see the vehicle’s estimated arrival time update in real time without needing a Tour Management Made Right account.
What are geofence alerts?
Virtual boundaries around a location. When a vehicle enters or exits the geofence, dispatch gets an automatic notification. Useful for confirming winery arrivals and departures.
Can I see where a vehicle was earlier in the day?
Yes. Each tour has a complete route history showing the path taken, stop times, and any deviations from the planned route.
Does tracking work in areas with poor cell coverage?
The app caches position data locally and uploads when a connection is available. Dispatch may see a brief delay in rural areas but no data is lost.
Is driver location tracked when they are off duty?
No. GPS tracking only activates during an active tour assignment. Off-duty drivers are never tracked.
